Not sure on that. I love the looks of the Challenger in its self and now with the hell cat engine, it's my number one dream car. The price of the hell cat is in reach but it will be the gas and insurence that's going to be ruff on the wallet.

Applied a "Prezidential Solution"  #LOL to cleaning a Cherokee front diff. "Remote Parts Washer"  #HMM

Should I start a DIY thread?

Does anyone even care?

Will anyone even read this?

Any guesses on what I did/used?

Intentionally misspelled Prez  ,,!,, him

Funny you should ask  ;D

Fluid in said diff was the consistency of yogurt, tho seemed fine when I checked level while ago. Plenty full, tho could have been because of water. I thought I had mentioned to my son that the vent tube wasn't attached, but anyway it wen't for mud bath.

I took portable air tank that has both inlet and discharge fittings on it, removed fittings and poured diesel in it. Pressureized to about 30psi, used blow gun with long nozzel and cleaned inside of diff. Tank was verticle. This worked pretty good. But I still filled diff with diesel then drove around yard a bit to do best possible cleaning. Did this several times till diesel came out several times.

In the future I think I would look for an air tank off of air brake truck, as "cleaning" tank and hoses was a PIA, especially with temps here already  :\'(. Plus air in would need to be at top and outlet at bottom so I wouldn't get spurts of air. Tip: when fluid runs out, stop spraying as to avoid vaporizing remaining diesel.

JMHO, your results may, and will vary. Trained professional, do not attempt this stunt at home. No guarentee expressed or implied. Use at own risk, and I am not to blame. My lawer can kick your's azz.

I say that was a real good idea. I hate work with old diff fluid. I hate the smell of it.

Great Lakes frozen over 92% as Mar 6 2014
85.5% as of 2-20-15  ,,!,,
How's
Global Warming
going for you???

I call BS on that and "climate change" With only 2-300 yrs of somewhat accurate weather recording, how can they even begin to tell it's not just cyclic?

Wether the earth is "Biblicly" 6000 yrs old or lesser %, "scientifically" 60 mill/billion years old, 300 years is a blink of an eye.

Well, from what I saw the other day, Great Lakes basin was still below average temps for this winter. #HMM

Can't be a never ending thread if ya'll don't post. Otherwise I'm just talking to myself.
But, then I do that on a regular basis. Sometimes only way to hold an intelligent conversation  #LOL
